SARAH QUADE
Licensed Simply Music teacher SARAH QUADE (M.M) is a professional musician and holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees of music (oboe) from the University of Michigan. She has over 25 years of experience as a performer and music educator in the Washington D.C. area.
Sarah has performed regularly with ensembles such as the Maryland Symphony, the Annapolis Symphony, the National Gallery Orchestra, the Virginia Chamber Orchestra, and the Washington Bach Consort, among others. She has participated in several recording projects, including a collection of Florian Gassman’s opera overtures with the acclaimed Eclipse Chamber Orchestra which is featured regularly on WETA-FM. Reviews in the Washington Post have praised her for “playing sublimely”. Sarah maintains a private studio of oboe and piano students, who have been accepted at colleges and music festivals around the country.
Sarah also specializes in early childhood music and movement education and is a licensed teacher with Music Rhapsody and Music Together in addition to Simply Music.
Sarah has two daughters with her husband and enjoys sailing, skiing, yoga, and hiking with her dog.
